Composition RBZ 10 Each tablet contains Rabeprazol 10 mg. RBZ 20 Each tablet contains Rabeprazol 20 mg. RBZ D Rabeprazol 20mg & Domperidone 10 mg. Product Description Rabeprazol the broad spectrum anti ulcerant has both antisecretory and mucoprotective property. It offers rapid onset of action than other PPI. It decreases acid secretion and increases mucin content. Inhibits the enzyme urease which is responsible for protection of clarithromycin resistant H.pylori from gastric acid. Strongly inhibits growth and motility of clarithromycin resistant H.pylori. It is well tolerated PPI with low potential for drug interaction. ORPRO is more potent than Omeprazole in inhibition of proton pump activity and acid output. It offers inhibitory action against clarithromycin resistant H.pylori. It also prevents the relapse of ulcer and GERD. Domperidone is an antidopaminergic drug and is used orally. Mechanism of Action Rabeprazol Rabeprozole suppress gastric acid secretion by specific inhibition of the enzyme H+/K+ ATP ase (proton pump) at the secretary surface of the gastric parietal cell. Domperidone in the treatment of nausea and vomiting. It is useful in patients with Parkinson's disease because, unlike metoclopramide, domperidone does not cross the blood-brain barrier. Pharmaco Kinetics On oral administration rapidly absorbed, peak plasma levels occur at 3.5 hours of administration. 52% bioavailable. Half-life is 1.5 hours. 97% plasma protein bound. Excreted mainly through renal way. |
